Hi! My name is Dave. Always a baker at heart, my earliest food memories revolved around chocolate chip cookies, spoonful’s of canned vanilla frosting & my grandma’s favorite french toast recipe. A casual baking interest growing up turned into a complete obsession with watching Food Network and proudly consuming any and every baking competition show ever created! From self-taught home baker, I was able to begin my professional baking journey in my late twenties with a flourless chocolate cupcake business and the creation of my new name, Chef “Space Cake Dave”.

My love of chocolate solidified when my grandmother told me, in her deeply rooted Hungarian accent, how she was a chocolatier in her young adult life throughout Europe, and how giving someone a piece of chocolate was the act of giving someone a moment of pure joy. I honor my grandmother’s memory everyday by providing not only delicious chocolate covered hazelnuts in a variety of unique flavors, but that knowing every one of Dave’s Nuttz is a piece of pure joy that I am able to pass on from my dearest family member, to you and yours.
